Our mission
We will lift millions of smallholder farmers out of poverty, while protecting the rural environment to enable future generations to earn their livelihood from agriculture.
Impact over everything
Years of experience and mountains of data tell us that even small farms can provide families with the resources to live a dignified life in harmony with the environment. We believe smallholder farmers are good managers of their own situations, and given the right knowledge and tools, they will be able to address issues of poverty and environmental degradation.
In order to make our mission a reality, we must face uncomfortable truths and challenge a "business as usual" mentality. Decades of work around sustainability certification and projects have failed to make a difference. New approaches, driven by data and innovation, are required if we are to deliver our mission successfully. In a world where so many promises are being made about protecting the environment and improving livelihoods, we believe impact should do the talking.
