Enveritas is a global non-profit organization of approximately 140 team members dedicated to improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers around the world.

Our work is carried out through five core teams:

  The Certification Team manages field operations across approximately 34 countries. Supported by a network of more than 1,000 enumerators, the team coordinates the large-scale data collection efforts that underpin our work.

  The Impact Team is responsible for delivering directly on our mission by designing and implementing programs that improve outcomes for smallholder farmers.

  The Engineering & Data Team builds and maintains the tools, systems, and infrastructure that power Enveritas’ mission, enabling us to collect, process, analyze, and share sustainability data at scale.

  The Partnerships Team manages relationships with coffee roasters and other partners.

• •

  The Admin Team includes Finance, Legal, HR, and other functions that support the organization and enable our teams to work effectively.

Our Operations teams are regionally organized across Africa, Asia, and the Americas, while our Engineering & Data, Partnerships, and Admin teams are globally distributed, with many team members based in the United States.

All of our teams are responsible for learning about and communicating the sustainability issues faced by coffee growers. We primarily focus on smallholder coffee farmers: family-run farms that are 5 hectares (~12 acres) or less and who make up 95% of the estimated 12.5 million farms selling coffee on the international market today. Our work involves understanding the social, environmental, and economic issues affecting them. The insights we gather are then used by partners to assist these communities in improving their livelihoods.
